Signing In

Upon first launch, you will be prompted with the sign in screen.

Your username can be found in the email 'New Cloud Telephony Account' sent to you.

Your password can be found in the 'Account Password Reset' email sent to you.

Once you have all of the required information you will be able to sign into the softphone. Following first sign in the app will give you options regarding Outlook Integration and Default Calling Application, these are optional.

Interface

Once signed into the Horizon Softphone you will be presented with the default screen.

Search and Dial

The search and dial test box can be used to search for colleagues within your company's business, as well as contacts within the company wide directory. Once searched you can click any contact and initiate a call by hovering over the call dropdown or add them to your contacts.

Call History & Voicemail

The Call History tab will allow you to see inbound and missed calls. This is replicated across all Horizon devices.

The Voicemail tab enables listening and deleting of voicemails.

Dial Pad

The Dial Pad tab willopen the dial pad on the softphone. All calls made from the dial pad will display the outbound number for your company

Settings

The settings menu allows you to change telephony settings eg. call options, audio/video devices, changing availability in call centres and more. These are accessed by the dropdown at the top of the settings page.

Usage

In Call Options

                            • image Clear down button
                            • image Hold button
                            • image Mute microphone button
                            • image Transfer call button
                            • image Add People button
                            • image Park call button
                            • image More button

Transferring Calls

To transfer a call, press the transfer button, a pop-out tab will open

Use the search box to search for a colleague or contact, or dial the users extension or external mobile number

image This option will send the call straight to the transferee without announcing the call

image This option will call the transferee enabling a call anouncement to be made.

To complete the transfer select the complete transfer button.

Should the transferee be busy or decline the call hang up on the transfer call tab and press the hold button to retrieve the original caller.

Conference Calls

To start a conference call press the add people button, and use the search box to search for a user you wish to add to the call.

Once found you can select that user and choose their device to conference them in.

This will place the caller on hold until the other user picks up.

image This option will merge the two calls together creating a conference call.

Should the called party not wish to join the conference call a clear down will return you to the original caller

Call Parking

To park a call use the call park button to initiate the process., the following options

Use My Extension: Call parked to own extension

Enter Extension to park: Call parked to other extension.

Call Park Retrieve

To retrieve a parked call select the 'calls' tab at the top of the application. Highlight 'retrieve parked call' and select 'With Horizon'

Use the dial pad on the sidebar to enter your options.

Dialling # will retrieve the parked call if it's parked against your extension.

Dialling EXT# will retrieve the parked call, parked against another extension.
